In today's tech domain, we need to move fast - and that's what we also want to do when
hiring our new teams. Which has to be top notch - and has been waiting for your force. As
such, for our team in Amersfoort (The Netherlands), we are looking for a Designer who will
be responsible of handling off difficult or advanced problems in the design and
development of our Payroll domains and  bring existing applications to a new level. We
embrace agility, and apply the SAFe framework to ensure we scale our agile practices
across our portfolio.

He or she should be able to gather as much info as possible about any issue coming from
second line product development. The person has a relevant experience on
troubleshooting and on doing a proper analysis of issues, and therefore he/she is able to
identify where the problem can be and how it can be solve . He or she coordinates with the
second line the priorities and proposes a proper time to solve it, based on Service Level
Agreement and team capacities.

As member of a self-organizing Scrum team, you help the team on deciding how work is
addressed. While keeping focus on delivering committed results as a team, you assume
full responsibility for delivering your assignments - and are fine to assist with or to take over
tasks originally assigned to other colleagues. You feel responsible towards end-users, and
reach out when they need your help. You make full use of the freedoms given to "do your
thing" and to be innovative in creating new technology, but stick fully to common promises
made towards your colleagues & the organization. At the same time, you help improving
our best practices - and are constantly looking to make them even better.

Especially from Designer, we expect them also to:

  • guide and coach team-members as subject matter expert and help team members by
    designing the best solution;
  • write concise specifications (PBI, acceptance criteria, etc) for new functionalitydesign;
  • new systems or drastically enhance existing ones, in close collaboration with other
    team members incl. the Product Owner - this includes determining program requirements
    and procedures for software maintenance;
  • participate in knowledge "guilds"  and actively share and develop knowledge on software
    development, professional development, software quality, new technology, new tools and
    techniques and training.

Technical skills we look for include (ideally you possess these - or you have a
demonstrated ability to acquire them fast, and excel in using/applying them):

  • Hands-on experience with XP engineering practices and on following agile
  • Database analysis in SQLadvanced expertise in at least several of the following:  ASP .NET,  C#, ,Javascript.

If you combine this expertise with a Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree, then this wil
l be a plus that will be fully recognized. However, some of you may have acquired world-
class expertise in another manner, and that is also fine. In addition, any previous
experience with HCM software is an asset.
