We are looking for a System Architect who will be responsible for the architecture aspects of one product/solution yet influencing cross product-lines/solutions. We embrace agility, and apply the SAFe framework to ensure we scale our agile practices across our portfolio.



The role of System Architect holds a variety of responsibilities and required skills:

•             Being able to explain business value to the team

•             Awareness of developments in other product lines

•             Ability to give internal trainings on various products & technologies

•             Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) – in a business problem area or technical area

•             Ability to contribute in new initiatives and estimate (component) impact

•             Ability to identify and advice on tool selection based on needs

•             Ability to contribute in customer/supplier meetings

•             Observe and facilitate the implementation of architectural strategy

•             Represent the product externally (to auditors/stakeholders/presales) while responding to their needs

•             Informing requirements evolution within the context of the architectural strategy (working with Product- and Portfolio to define the roadmap)

•             Collaborate with Lead Architects and Raet’s Chief Architect to develop/analyze/split the realization of enabler Epics

•             Deep technical hands on knowledge of SDKs/API/technologies/platforms - prototyping/POCs

•             Ability to visualize and think strategically and across technologies/components

•             Establish critical non-functional requirements (NFRs) for the product/solution

•             Ability to design a software module architecture

•             Ability to sell technological innovations

•             Ability to justify technological investments (e.g. solving technical debt, refactoring, etc.)

•             Deep domain knowledge (technical and business)

•             Actively mentoring others technically

•             Representing the company in technical events (as a publicly recognizable subject matter expert)

•             Research and validate technologies (him/herself or through the team - act as a driver for this)

•             Stimulate team in applying adequate technologies

•             Steering cross-team dependencies that affect the release goals

•             Ability to provide quality metrics and reports

•             Responsibility for one product architecture

•             Justify and document technical decisions

•             Enjoy an occasional travel to the Netherlands/Spain



•             Bachelor's, Master's or Doctoral degree

•             Advanced in English speaking and writing

•             +5 year experience in a similar role

•             Advanced expertise in at least several of the following:  .NET & C#, Entity Framework, SQL, multi-threading, REST, Visual Studio

•             Experience building large-scale web services

•             Experience building UI-rich web applications and knowledge or related technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, AngularJS)

•             Continuous Integration experience

•             Experience in integration between software application and Cloud development (Azure)

Nice to have:

  • Experience working in a team using scrum as agile development methodology
  • Experience with automated testing (Selenium, Specflow
  • Distributed/remote teams experience
  • Relevant MS Certification is preferred
  • Experience within HR or payroll
  • SAFe experience/knowledge
